Angus McBride

Angus McBride (1931-2007), one of the world's most respected historical illustrators,

He worked in advertising agencies from 1947 and, after national service, emigrated to South Africa where he lived for many years. Recently he moved to Ireland to be close to his family, and died unexpectedly in his garden at home.

Books illustrated include: The Lord of the Rings, The Wizard of Oz, Dracula, The Mummy - together with the ‘Men at Arms’ books published by Osprey.
